Lifecycle and Tools for Cloud and Mobile Application Development

IEEE Student members of Lewis University are pleased to present Peter Salerno, Owner and Principal Consultant of Stratus Concept LLC and Co-founder of MobiKite, Inc., who will give a talk on Cloud and Mobile App Development. Peter will discuss how he uses cloud tools to develop apps and how the cloud is designed into the solution architecture.

Abstract

Peter Salerno will cover the development lifecycle of a Mobile Application using Cloud-based and Open Source tools. He will discuss gathering the solution requirements; system architecture leveraging cloud servers; database schema definitions; cloud-based and locally hosted development and test tools; Interface designs; and final test and deployment

About the Presenter

As Founder & Principal Consultant of Stratus Concept LLC, Pete Salerno helps small businesses in the Chicago area implement communications and application solutions leveraging mobile and cloud-based infrastructure and services. Pete Salerno is an IEEE Sr member. Pete has over 30 years of experience in computer systems & software, telecommunications, and avionics holding a wide range of positions from hardware and software design & development engineering, project management, pre- and post-sales engineering, product marketing, business development, and strategic alliance management. Pete is a PMI certified PMP and has a BS in Engineering Science and a Mathematics Minor from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
