Globetrotters is seeking a licensed SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER experienced in the design of
power distribution, building instrumentation control, fire alarm, lighting, and communication systems for
commercial, institutional, and municipal facilities. Experience in roadway and highway lighting is
desirable.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead and direct the design and coordination of project electrical systems
  • Serve as project manager as professional experience and growth dictates
  • Complete projects within budget and schedule
  • Work closely with departmental management, other senior professionals and other team members
  • Able to design/develop solutions for a variety of complex technical issues
  • Prepare electrical engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and studies
  • Ensure design conforms with all applicable building codes and industry standards
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems
  • Work independently, but also in a team environment
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering,
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Illinois
  • Must have 20 years of direct experience in ELECTRICAL power distribution design for all types of commercial, municipal, and institutional projects
  • Experience leading a team of electrical engineers and designers
  • Experience in managing a project from inception to completion
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Knowledge of other disciplines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizations skills (with both internal and external clients)
