We provides architecture, engineering, construction management, permit plan reviews, consulting, and IT services. Globetrotters is seeking a licensed SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER experienced in the design of power distribution, building instrumentation control, fire alarm, lighting, and communication systems for commercial, institutional, and municipal facilities. Experience in roadway and highway lighting is desirable.
In this position, you will:
• Design and develop electrical systems and components for various projects
• Prepare electrical engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and studies
• Able to design/develop solutions for a variety of complex technical issues
• Write electrical specifications
• Manage projects as experience dictates
• Ensure design conforms with all applicable building codes and industry standards
• Able to work independently, but also in a team environment
• Assist in proposal preparation and project estimating
• Conduct site visits
• Provide QA/QC for electrical projects
• Act as electrical point of contact to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
• Work within an interdisciplinary environment
We are looking for someone who has:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering,
• Illinois P.E. license
• Must have 10 years of direct experience in ELECTRICAL power distribution design for all types of commercial, municipal, and institutional projects
• Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems
• Experience in managing a project from inception to completion
• Knowledge of NEC and Chicago electrical code
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Working knowledge of MS Office products
• Knowledge of other disciplines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizations skills (with both internal and external clients)
