The Chicago Section’s PACE Chair, Elsa Madrigal, and WIE Chair, Nina Rouhanizadeh, arranged a tour of Panduit’s Jack E. Caveney Innovation Center (JECIC). Panduit Corp. is a leading global provider of innovative electrical and network infrastructure solutions. The JECIC is named for one of the most prolific inventors in the industry and the founder of Panduit. Panduit has introduced thousands of problem-solving new products, achieved over 780 U.S. patents, and is committed to advancing state-of-the-art solutions.

After receiving an overview of Panduit’s products, IEEE members and guests toured several of the JECIC laboratories. The laboratories support Panduit’s thermal, electrical, optical, software, industrial automation, networking, and mechanical research. After the tours, Panduit provided hands on demonstrations of their products as well as an enjoyable networking opportunity.
