The Chicago chapter of the Power & Energy Society and the Chicago Section’s Young Professionals Affinity Group held an event on October 10th at MxD. MxD is a manufacturing hub headquartered in Chicago that aims to drive the digital future of manufacturing, pioneering new technologies that make America’s industrial base more resilient and agile.

Attendees heard a presentation by Chandra Brown, CEO of MxD. Her story from Oregon Iron Works, to the U.S. Department of Commerce, and ultimately to MxD was fascinating. After the presentation, attendees took tours of the MxD Innovation Center and demonstration space. After the tour, some of the attendees ventured over to Off Color Taproom to celebrate Chicago’s role in the future of manufacturing.
